HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLO and Mello Greetings yoogie doogie to all of you out there in talk show land.  I must say that this past weeks show was by far the best show yet.  I personally was really impressed with the interaction, topics, fluidity, and overall pre show, air time, and post show productions.  We had hardly any hang ups and we all here at the garage had a great time.  Thank you to everyone that supports us and tunes in each week and especially to those of you getting involved and sending us emails and sharing your support for what we do each week.  God Bless.

Buzz

So we’ve started this little thing call The United States of America and we’d like you to come over from your own dirty little piece of the planet where corruption and criminal behavior rules.  We’d like for you to partake of the opportunity and freedoms that we’ve bled and died for, spent our national treasure on and sacrificed so much for and then we’d like to invite you to vomit your own personal hatred and derision on our doorsteps.  No, really…it’s ok.  We want you to take full advantage of all we have to offer, put our citizens out of work and then commit hundreds of thousands of crimes that escalate the cost to our people and throw in thousands of deaths each year that would otherwise be avoided if you had stayed on the other side of that fence we haven’t built yet.

To sweeten the pot for you if you can manage to go undetected or avoid deportation for some as yet unknown number of years we’ll actually reward your desecrating, amoral, anti-American behavior with full citizenship.  Oh, and to top it off and show you how much we want your vote we’ll make sure that you have full health care coverage, the complete slate of welfare handouts, a free education for your children, low cost government backed loans for housing and automobiles and a free guided pass to the ins and outs of our electoral process.

The fun doesn’t end there, however, as we are working hard at this very moment to make sure that you never have to suffer a moment of discomfort as you make the non-assimilating transition to your new home in the suburbs of Northern Canamerico.  You’ll get all of the benefits of American citizenship while you wave that Mexican flag and tell everyone about your terrific heritage down South and how tragic and heartbreaking it was that those oppressive Europeans stole the Western United States from you to begin with.  We’ll even cower as you remind us that if it weren’t for that little misunderstanding at the Alamo and San Jacinto your country would be on the clean end of the stick shared by the U.S. and Mexico.

Look, we’re just trying to rectify all that bad Karma we dumped on ourselves by hurting your ancestors to begin with.  Come on in and take what you want.  We never really liked this place anyway.  You just keep voting for Democrats and we’ll keep feeding you benefits and telling everyone what horribly hateful bigots those ignorant conservatives are.  How dare they demand that we enforce immigration laws or build border fences to keep you folks out.  Together we can shut them up permanently.  You think you’ve had the run of the place with Bush in office; just you wait until our guy Barry takes over and gets things set right.

Just remember that the Democrats are your friends.

I want to make certain that everyone knows right off the bat that I voted for George W. Bush twice.  I voted for him in 2000 because I truly believed he was a far superior option to Albert Gore.  I feel vindicated in that choice following the past eight years of en-VIRAL-MENTAL rants from senor Gore.  I voted for “W” in 2004 because A) I fully believed he was responsible for policies that prevented another attack on American soil and B) I would have voted for a goat that claimed to be a conservative if it had been running against Senator John “purple heart” Kerry.

Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way let’s clear the air on some very important issues.  We, the Republican Party, are out of power for a plethora of issues but the main reasons revolve around a very simple premise.  We have sold our souls, as a party, to pollsters, pundits and conventional wisdom.  I know that many on the conservative side of the aisle have beaten the idea of the Reagan revolution until they are blue in the face but it is a truth that needs repeating.  In the intervening years since Reagan left office we have forgotten every rule he taught us about politics in America.  We have succumbed to the lie, told ad nauseum by the liberal left and the spineless, blue-blood moderates in our own party, that the path to victory and governing authority is in the middle of the spectrum where we can best appeal to our opponents, moderates and the “sacred” undecideds.

Reagan put the lie to that entire postulation of political ignorance and did so in what should have been a resoundingly permanent fashion for our party.  What Reagan did not do, however, was eliminate the members of our party who harbored those views despite his success and the overwhelming success of his policies.

Reagan never shied away from traditional values; never compromised his principles or core values and he never feared the media or his opponents.  In short, Ronald Reagan never feared being a conservative and never lost his faith in the principles that make this country what it is.  Our current leadership in congress and the white house have involved themselves in policies and discussions with the opposition that can only benefit our opponents and absolutely cannot benefit our country.  Policies like no child left behind, the Medicare prescription drug benefit and the most recent venture of the federal government into the free market via the 750 billion dollar bailout are clearly policies designed to compromise with and garner favor with the left and buy votes.  The ill-advised immigration policy touted by this administration and those like John McCain have absolutely guaranteed that we will not regain power in the current climate of our society.

We lost in the most recent election despite the cries of those who warned us that we must curry favor with the left and the middle.  Those groups voted overwhelmingly for Barack Obama despite our moderate and sometimes liberal overtures to garner their vote.

We must cease to compromise our principles.  The Republican Party in general and conservatives in particular must support candidates who are representative of our views.  If the incumbent is a RINO a moderate or a liberal then we need to find an opposing candidate who supports and pledges to work at implementing conservative, American policies.  We must stop shying away from the inevitable arguments that will come when we outright oppose the left.  We need more than anything to STOP sacrificing our principles on the altar of the pundits in order to win elections.

Ladies and gentlemen.  Conservative principles and policies are a winning issue.  The constitution is a winning issue.  Opposing gun bans, opposing abortion, supporting freedom and liberty, cheerleading for the greatest country ever conceived on the face of the earth, supporting traditional families, capitalism and smaller government are all winning issues that we must support.  In short, being an American is a winning issue and we need to get back to that truth.  Don’t buy the line that America needs to change to be more like Europe or some other part of the world.  Don’t fall prey to the falsehood that we need to be more conciliatory with the UN and the world’s dictators in order to succeed in the global economy.  We succeed there as we have for over two hundred years by being Americans and doing everything we do bigger, better and more efficiently than the competition.  We win by getting the government out of the way of the American people, unshackling our industry by sweeping away the constantly growing list of restrictive regulations and telling government bureaucrats to sit down, shut up and stay out of our way.

Stand up Common Patriots.  Tell your senator and representative that change is coming.  Let them know that they either get on board the conservative express or go home and get a new job in the environment that they are helping to wreck and we’ll get someone else to do the job they’re afraid to do.

This week we made some format changes and enhanced the show with greater interaction amongst all of the staff members.  We’re still finding our way as broadcasters and learning each week to feed off each other from a performance standpoint.  Once again I felt that this was our best show to date.  Don’t take my word for it though.  Listen to this show from 11/15/08 and tell us what you think via comments or by e-mailing of of the GP Staff using one of the links from the Garage Politics web site.

So the election is almost here and we’re in full panic mode for an Obama presidency.  Well, the media said the election was already over right?  We all know that if the media says it then it must be true.  Why else would corporations pay those mindless, celebrity groupies so much money to go on the air and work so hard at “informing” the public?

The answer to that is rather simple.  The liberal (read socialist) purveyors of what passes these days for news are far more interested in their political and social agenda then they ever were at providing actual information or making money.  The men and women that populate newsrooms these days are actually little more than propaganda machines for the DNC and liberal candidates.  There is no other explanation for a group of people that would ignore news on a wholesale level while they spin every situation to minimize damage or maximize the positive light it might shed on any given socialist running for office.  The propaganda media always make certain they describe liberal democrats as “the senator”, “the congresswoman” or some other such generic term while they never fail to label a republican as “the republican senator” or “conservative” so and so.  What they don’t realize is that we are very happy to be labeled for the values and positions that we defend.  The fly in the ointment, however, is that they usually precede that introduction with some tasty little morsel about how terrible said views are for the people.

I’ve realized that there is no saving these people and we can never expect them to shed their shameless bias but we can focus on the people they think they’re hoodwinking.  The American people are a people of common sense and great moral fortitude.  We need to throw in the towel on the socialist media organs and concentrate on what Reagan found so rewarding and effective.  Tell the American people the truth and the media loses their power.  Focus on the people, the power behind our nation, and the media ceases to be a concern at any level.  Focus our efforts, from the top to the grassroots, on enlisting the aid of Mom and Dad, standing behind the conservative and traditional teachers out there, supporting the constitutional rights of everyday Americans who are willing to face down the gauntlet of epithets and derision in order to spread the message of conservatism and American exceptionalism.  Reagan gave us the blueprint for vitory, not only in elections, but in the broader battle for the hearts and minds of the American people and the soul of our nation.  Focus on “We”, forget “they” and we can slowly, one step at a time, take back our nation from the environmentally conscious, anti-American, socialist, utopia loving elitists who have worked so hard over the past 60 years to screw it up.

Take your message to the people and choose to ignore the media.  In that equation America wins and socialism loses.

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. -George Santayana

This one quote is both fearful and inspiring.  People across this great Country need to heed these words and open their eyes and review the past to find the solution for today’s problems.  As complacent as today’s generations are, we have forgotten that our ancestors experienced many of the same problems we face today.  Their correct and incorrect decisions can teach us a lot.

In last week’s show, many were surprised to hear that the United States and Germany did not declare an official end to hostilities until 1951, a full six years after V – E Day.  Apply that timetable to the current US war in Iraq.  George Bush standing in front of a “Mission Accomplished” banner (that had more to due with the Ship mission than the war) on 2 May 2003 and you will see that peace might happen in the end of 2009 (six years after major combat missions ended).  Could it be that our Grandparents understood the necessity of patience?  Six years after 416,000 Americans died to free the world, peace with German happened.

Outrageous!  Why was peace not declared on 7 May 1945?  Easy, we won the war, but there were still battles to fight.  If we apply this lesson to the current battle in Iraq, the Bush administration is ahead of where our forces were in Germany.  External forces are hindering a lasting peace in Iraq (IRAN) similar to what happened in Germany (SOVIET UNION).  Why is there outrage today?  The only thing that is significantly different in the world is the United Nations and the Media here in the United States.  Let us look at their motives for a second.

United Nations
The United Nations was founded to find diplomatic solutions before issues caused wars.  The United Nations failed in their charter and with evidence uncovered during the war showed the United Nations was in bed with Saddam and his thugs via the Oil for Food Program; what a blow for a feel-good organization!  Not only could you not stop the United States from attacking, they could not cover up their back-door-deals before we controlled Iraq, what an embarrassment!  The United Nations bent over backwards to keep Saddam in compliance.  They paid him, begged him to comply, and then fought the United States when it came time to enforce UNITED NATIONS RESOLUTIONS. Due the overwhelming hatred for the United States held by almost all leaders of the World, world opinion went against the United States.  Although people in the world love the United States, they cannot say or show it.  Their leaders would punish them for such displays of affection.

By adding the United Nations on the checklist of organizations who must approve war, the United States is put at a disadvantage in the Public Relations field instantly.  By the time the case is made by the US, all who disagree with the US stance is given Saint Hood by the World Media and their fellow thugs who rule with a gun.  Given this handicap, the United States mission in Iraq is now held to a standard that would mean the war with Germany was a failure.

What is the United Nation’s motive? To ensure the United States loses the ability to govern our Country and export freedom across the world.

Today’s News Media

Imagine if the news simply presented facts instead of opinions skewed by the prism of Anti-Americanism.

Imagine true tyrants were compared to evil leaders of the past.

Imagine reporters taking pride in being American.

Imagine reporters hoping for victory instead of failure.

Imagine today’s media was like the media of yesteryear.  In my lifetime, there has always been a liberal bias in the news.  I remember Ronald Reagan being called the most dangerous person in the world by wanting to defeat Communism.  Imagine the media fighting for a system that ends their way of life due to their personal dislike for a politician.  They can do this, but they are not living up to their Constitutional obligation to the people of this Country; they have failed us.  Americans are wising up to this, just look at the financial problems crippling the Media.  What changed the media between WWII and now?  Liberalism, under the cover of darkness gained control of our Universities and News Editor Rooms across this great Country.  It was not a military take over, it was a coup-d’état by liberals against the United States.

“You have a Republic, if you can keep it” is how Benjamin Franklin handed our Government to the people.  “If you can keep it”, continues to be a warning to all future generations of Americans.  To keep the Republic, the people of this Republic must stand up and keep the Government and Media honest and focused on their charter.  Now, neither is honest and Americans lack the will power to confront the issue head on.  What we have is a slight of hand magic trick run amuck.

The media has focused our attention on how bad, evil, and uncaring the American people and our Military are.  Left out are the facts.  We feed the world, we keep freedom safe, and we have shown we are willing to lay down our lives to defend those in the world that need our help.  Do not LET the media make you feel bad for being an American, feel bad for sitting back and allowing the media to pull off this left movement without raising alarms.

What is the Media’s motive? To ensure the United States loses the ability to govern our Country and export freedom across the world.

It is clear we are facing a multi-pronged attack against our country.  Our enemies dare not fight us on the field of battle.  They fight us via the United Nations and by preying on Americans who are idiots.  By getting a group of Americans to mimic their ideals, our enemies have set to destroy our Country from the inside.  Our Government is an accomplice in this take over.  Our Media Outlets, our courts, our Congress, and our bureaucracy are nearing complete subservience to the left side of the political spectrum.  We have to keep it.  We have to clean it up.  We have to do this now or the laws will change via Obama with the help by fellow members of the Axis-of-Taxes, Pelosi and Reid to keep us from keeping the Republic from entering the lines of history.

Remember, those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

Let me assure you that the “S” on the chest of the liberal messiah does not stand for superman.  This one, folks, is not from Krypton and he is most certainly NOT here to save earth.  I’m actually beginning to doubt that the fool was born in Ken…ahem…I mean Hawaii.  I’m actually disposed to believe that “his eminence”, the pope of Chicago was more likely sired in an unholy union between one of those misfits in San Francisco and a blathering sycophant from mother Russia.  This is not the “I feel your pain” self-aggrandizement of William Jefferson Clinton or the “feel good about yourself” ignorant, simplicity of that buffoon from Plains, GA.  The leftists in Washington will not make the half-measured mistake they made with Carter if Obama gets into office.  The pretense of patriotism (like that was ever actually believable) and the thin veiled symbolism of bi-partisanship are about to be torn asunder should we be so foolish as to elect the prince of “present” and “no vote” political dissembling.  Joe Biden has already warned us of the coming storm and it will be more than we would ever imagine.  The anger and derision we saw after the 2000 Bush victory over the environmentally beloved Al Gore should have been a clarion note of recognition for all of us.  The liberals are done being nice people (or is that persons?) and they are completely fed up with those of us who are at odds with their grand vision for the univer…ahem…worl…I mean country.

Let me be perfectly clear, lest anyone should wish to doubt me or twist what I am saying should this unholy triumvirate of dark hearted power come to fruition.  If Barack Obama should indeed win the presidential election on November 4, 2008 we will have struggled in vain to avoid the dark pit that the environmentalists, socialists and 5th avenue socialites have been struggling to drag us into.  We managed to avoid Kyoto despite the deepest and most sincere desires of Mr. Gore and his acolytes because we had an opposing congress to hold off the barbarians at the gate.  It was Republicans who beat back the cry for our submission to a world court for our politicians and soldiers.  It was that counter-offensive that prevented our entire presidential cabinet from being brought up on international war crimes charges as the left desired.  It has been the ever so tenuous foothold of a handful of actual conservatives in congress, constantly struggling against the liberal machine, that has helped bring originalist judges to the court and in so doing protected our constitutional rights despite the concerted and constant efforts of the left.  We are still free from the fairness doctrine because the left has not had unified control of government since the seventies.  Gone, however, are the good natured banter and fair minded opposition of men like Tip O’Neil on the Democratic side of the aisle.  Liberals have shed their masks and fully exposed the putrid, open sore of their virulent anti-American sentiment.  Our opponent is no longer willing to work within the confines of the arena as constructed.  They are bent on the destruction of our capitalist society and the complete eradication of our republic as a viable entity on the world stage.  They seek nothing less than the removal of national borders, subservience to an international body politic and the implementation of their multi-generational socialist, utopian vision.

The onslaught is not newly formed, but rather it is the realization of a historical and titanic struggle between the forces that would enslave mankind to the will of the elite.  We defeated that tyranny at places such as Trenton, Princeton and Yorktown.  We faced our own demons and struggled for our own republic on the battlefields of our civil war.  We struggled once again and emerged victorious from the fields of Europe in WWI and the European and Asian theaters in WWII.  We stared into the face of the darkness throughout the cold war and through the tragedies of Vietnam, Korea and others, but never lost our ultimate focus on the truth of the ultimate goodness and exceptional character of our American “experiment” in freedom.  Through trials, depressions, wars, strife and bloodshed we have continued to triumph specifically because of our freedom and our indomitable national identity as Americans.  The world has called repeatedly on us as their immutable and steadfast friend and champion of freedom throughout our history.  We are the “Shining city on a hill” that Reagan believed us to be and we are indeed, as he also postulated, “the last best hope of man on earth”.

I shudder at the thought of yielding this great republic to the hands of Barack Obama, Chuck Schumer, George Soros, Jeremiah Wright, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank and the whole host of unnamed socialists/Marxists waiting in the wings.  I say to you now that we must not.  We cannot surrender our heritage and our birthright to such people or to the tyrants of our world waiting breathlessly to feed on the freshly fallen carcass of our once great land.  I believe that in the end we will triumph as those patriots who we owe our freedom to.  We will preserve life and liberty for our own posterity and we will see our beloved land flourish as it has for over two hundred years.  We will do this through our tenacity, our ingenuity and our unconquerable spirit.  We will bend in the wind and we will weather the storm but we will not remain asleep while the enemies of our republic, from within and without, tear at the fabric of our society.  We will triumph despite their desires to render our founding documents impotent.  We will not surrender our freedom to speak, bear arms, to be secure in our persons and papers, to assemble and petition our government for a redress of grievances or our right to the faith of our choice.  We will triumph because in the final analysis we are Americans.  We are the beneficiaries and the rightful heirs of the greatest legacy of freedom and God given rights in the history of this planet.  We will triumph because the blood of patriots runs in our veins and we despise the vision of weakness and surrender offered to us by the opposition.  We will win this battle, not because of our “diversity” as the left suggests, but because in spite of our diversity we share a vision with 56 men  who were willing to pledge their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor in the face of tyranny; to risk everything for support of a dream they had not yet realized.

Bring the socialism Obama and your minions of weakness who deride the institutions of our laws and the foundations of our great republic.  Bring your redistribution policies and your dreams of egalitarian justice in your brave new world.  You will not succeed any more than did your predecessors who each realized too late that the peace and even hand of the American state is not weakness.  Bring your change and your plans of unfettered socialism but do not mistake our good will and forgiving nature for the heart of timidity. We are America and the taint of weakness is not in us.

Tomorrow, 4 November 2008, our Country will choose.

The choice is between our Country and Socialism.

Forged by the battles of good versus evil, the blood of our patriots who revolted against England, a bloody Civil war, and the peaceful transition of power, our Country stands to this day as the only bastion of peace and freedom in the world.  All those before us built the greatest form of Government known to man, yet we are close to electing the one man who will end it all.

Long ago, The Great One said it was a time for the choosing.  Now we are at a day for a choosing.  The choice is one all societies must make.  So far, everyone has made the wrong choice.  America very well could make the wrong choice.  The Mainstream media has pushed Obama to the finish line, while tying McCain to the starting blocks.  McCain could still win, but it will take the full force of the conservative movement to make him victorious.  The only problem is Mr. McCain is not a conservative.  He is a media created candidate forced upon the Republican Party to ensure an Obama victory.

This is the make or break election.  Anti-America groups will win or America will win.  For hundreds of years, these ugly believers in the religion of communism have tried to change America from the inside only to be thwarted by our right to vote. We are the last defense our nation has.  Our military can only defend us from other Countries; it cannot defend us from ideological idiots from the left.  If it could, most of the Congressional leadership would have an address in Kansas spending their days making little rocks out of big rocks.

To my fellow citizens, rally and vote, rally and fight the crap the left is dropping on us daily.  Stand up and be an American.  You can do your part-VOTE.
